One year I ordered one of those meat and cheese gift baskets for my cousin who had a lot of kids and not a lot of money. I sent it anonymously but I heard later that the kids really got a kick out of it. Granted, I could have spent the same amount of money and gotten them something they needed more, but I thought it would be more “special” to have a gift basket sent.

I think they are a terrific idea … whether you know what your recipient might like or not. Even if there is stuff included that they don’t care for, they know you thought about them … and they can always re-gift it or offer it to their guests!

Interesting idea, I think these would do well for people like my aunts and uncles or even grandparents who I normally struggle to buy anything for but this year I might try these out and see what they make of them.

Your right Christmas gift baskets are a great gift idea. So much so that they are the biggest seller in the gift basket industry. Sometimes corporations order them by the thousands for their Christmas parties.

I love this idea with gift baskets because it makes my job easier. If i don’t know what to get to a friend of mine for Christmas, a gift basket is always a good alternative.

And I think that after you buy a gift basket online, you can send it straight to the person you want to suprise, so this is another advantage.
