Cookie Gift Baskets

When you think of cookie gift baskets, you may naturally think of baskets full of fun and unique cookies that you can give to anyone that likes cookies. This is great, but this is not the only type of cookie gift that you can give out when an occasion, holiday, or special event comes along on which you want to give someone a gift. Cookies are fun to look at and even more fun to eat, but some people think the most fun you can have with a cookie is making it. Use this for different cookie gift ideas the next time you are stuck for gift ideas and want something a bit different.

What you want to put into your cookie gift baskets is up to you and your budget. You can spend a lot to make something truly unique, but you don’t have to do that to make something that someone is going to love. Some people go all out and include a mixing bowl, hand mixer, cookie cookbook, and all the ingredients for a few batches of cookies. You may also include things like cooling racks, rolling pins, or anything else you associate with backing cookies and other baked good.

If you know someone would love to make cookies, but they are more keen on decorating them than baking them from scratch, you could include some already made sugar cookies, or the packages of already made dough, along with cookie cutters, icing in many different colors, different types of sprinkles and jimmies, and other things like icing tips and decorating bags that people use to make cookies into all types of neat creations. If they like decorating cakes and cupcakes, they will also love doing cookies with what you can put into this type of cookie gift baskets.

You can make more simple cookie gift baskets than those though, as the above types can be expensive, and can also be too much if you are giving something to someone at the office or to someone that you may not know very well. You can find things like cookies-in-a-jar that you can give with a hot cocoa mix and a few mugs. You can give already made up cookies alone, which make very nice and very neat looking gift baskets. Most people love cookies, and even if they are not going to eat them, they know someone else who will.

If you don’t have the time or the inclination to go out and make your own cookie gift baskets, don’t worry too much. There are plenty of great baskets out there that you can order. If you have a basket business in your town, they may have just what you are looking for. Otherwise, you can always find great options online that you can order. They can ship to you, or they can ship directly to the recipient of your cookie gift if that would work better for you. Cookies come in all types of flavors and shapes, so the right basket idea is out there just waiting for your order.

Wine and Cheese Gift Baskets

If you are a superstar salesperson or want to be that fantastic sales star, then you need to consider carefully what kind of gifts to give your best clients. If you in any sort of big ticket product sales, including real estate or real estate loans, you may want to seriously consider giving out wine and cheese gift baskets to your best customers. Put yourself in the shoes of your client. Can you just imagine how appreciated they will feel when they receive great gifts like wine and cheese gift baskets or some other great gift baskets? There are lots of great gifts out there, but most people just don’t take the time to personalize their gifts and end up handing out gift certificates instead. Although gift certificates are nice, they just don’t say “I appreciate your business” like some sort of stacked or packaged gift like wine and cheese gift baskets or Omaha Steaks for example.
Let’s be realistic. As much as you would like to think that your clients are loyal only to you and that they are your “buddies” and would not think of taking their business elsewhere, the truth is that if you are selling a product in a highly competitive field, then your customers need to feel the love from you. If you are not giving them personalized gifts like wine and cheese gift baskets or great tickets to Lakers home games (good luck finding those) then you could be out-gifted by your rival and not even know it until your client decides to take his business elsewhere. Again, put yourself in their shoes. If you were them would you turn down a great gift box or fancy present from a competitor who has basically the same product or service you have just because you feel some sort of loyalty? Not likely, and especially not in today’s cutthroat world of sales and business. Today, you need every edge you can get.

Find out what your clients like first. Don’t go sending wine and cheese gift baskets to someone whose religion forbids him or her to drink. If they are vegans, don’t send Omaha Steaks (I made that mistake once, oh boy). You should know your clientele better than that or maybe you just don’t deserve their business. Come on, you are making a killing (or at least a living) selling whatever it is that you are peddling to these folks. The least you could do is find out how many kids they have, when their birthdays are, and what kind of sports or entertainment they prefer.

If you are a Laker fan, you would not want someone to give you Clippers tickets for example. If you know your client is a movie buff, don’t just buy tickets to the movies, get them a pass to a film festival in their hometown. If you know that they love gourmet foods then maybe wine and cheese gift baskets are the correct choice.
